This project is meant to be an opportunity for me to really focus on photographing my children and my family for an entire year. Each week I try and interpret the themes, bringing them into our lives.
This week’s theme is Innocence. I just couldn’t pass up the chance to share a sweet little girl whose very existence defines innocence. So, she may not be mine but I adore her anyways. Plus, since I’m playing the “it’s my project I can do what I want” getting to photograph her is a part of my life and I’m super glad & thankful to be able to share little Miss K’s photos and her innocence with you all!

WHEW I did it! With 15 minutes to spare, Week 3 of 52 Fridays has been completed. You could point out the obvious procrastination, but honestly, I got to have dinner tonight with my awesome mama, my very dear friend Ms. Milee and her lovely mama. So, it was worth the late night! Thanks for the laughter ladies!
This week’s theme was Joy. Super easy right? There is an incredible amount of joy in this world. Joy for me is photos. Lots and lots of photos. Especially photos of my family. Joy for Cavan and Declan…and James… equals finally getting to do something wild and crazy while being photographed. They may or may not experience Photographer’s Child Syndrome every once in a while. Maybe…sometimes…
An instant cure?
Snow. Snowball fights. Snow Angels. Eating snow. But not the yellow snow. Eww, nope, not the yellow snow.
Uber-concentration. A snowball is a most delicate orb. It’s creation takes the utmost of care.
Wait, What?!
You want me to throw it at you!?!
OK!
As you can see in this example- my “voice activated light-stand” just couldn’t stay out of the fun!

Nothing says Fall like apple orchards, pumpkin patches and a pretty girl in a dress & BOOTS! Ohhh, the adorable boots This is definitely one fashionable family.
I completely enjoyed myself for this session, even though Miss E was not so interested in slowing down for us. That girl is an on the go type lady! I really do love all the sweet moments we captured and I got my daily traipse in

Ahh, the gorgeous Baby A. I adore her. She was just so sweet and precious. She also did NOT projectile baby-ness on my most favorite pink Rococco couch, just the chair/floor/coffeetable, so, all is well…
Seriously though, I have never met such an aware, teeny tiny human being. This girl was wide awake and she was loving making some serious eye contact with me. Carly- I had so much fun spending time with you. I can’t wait for our next session and the chance to capture some more of your sweet kiddos!!
Meet Baby A. I hope you enjoy her soulful stares as much as I do.
This last one melts my heart. Nothing can settle a babe like momma’s soft comfort. *sigh*

Meet the lovely Borders! This awesome family was the auction winner of a session I donated to GASB’s Steak and Wine Dinner fundraiser. Thank you Michelle & Dan for supporting that great organization. You were all such fun to work with. It was nice to see your family dynamic, I’m so glad we were able to get everyone together for the session! Congratulations on your two beautiful daughters and on your long and happy marriage. Maybe someday when I grow up I’ll be just like you guys Seriously though, your session was perfect. From the lighting, location and weather to your well thought out styling’s and wonderful personalities I really enjoyed working with you!

One of my favorite things about photography is getting to catch memories for wonderful people. It gets even better when one of my oldest dearest friends asks me to capture her beautiful family!! This mama and I go way way, wwwaaaayyyy back she has been there for me at some of the most important times of my life, including being a bridesmaid for me when James and I were married 6 1/2 years ago!!
It was such a blessing to be able to do this for you, Renee & Austin. I can see how much in love you are and I know you have something very special. 
The kids were hilarious and super super cute. I can still hear Little A’s guffaw and please tell E that she did such a good job,she was like a supermodel! I hope you guys had as much fun as I did, I am so very happy for you!

I’ll be the first to admit that 18-24 months is a hard age to photograph. Kiddos usually aren’t interested in actively participating and they are speedy! Well, Miss L was a DREAM model. She hammed it up for the camera and smiled and laughed whenever we needed her to. She is such a bright girl! Mom & Dad- I felt very lucky to spend the morning with you all. It’s obvious how much you love and cherish L, and I think your session really reflects it.

One of the things I’ve been able to observe in this very special job of mine is that cuteness is rarely outgrown. I was lucky enough to capture Miss E last year for her super adorable newborn photos.
Right?! How beautiful is she? Well, a year later she is still beautiful and has SUCH a personality.
Mom & Dad, I had a great time with you all. Your enthusiasm and love for E shine through in everything you do for her. It’s so beautiful. E~ Happy First Birthday! You have grown so much and were such a delight to spend the morning with. Plus, you followed my instructions to a T
“E, get the cake!!”
Oh yeah, she got it alright.
